Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. This cancellation policy explains when an order can be cancelled, how to request a cancellation, and what happens if your order has already entered fulfilment or dispatch.

Cancellation policy overview

Our cancellation policy is intended to give customers clear guidance before an order is processed. Because orders may move quickly into preparation after checkout, cancellation is only available for a short period. If an order has already entered processing, packing, or dispatch, we may no longer be able to cancel or amend it.

  • Cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of placing the order.
  • Requests received after the 24-hour window may not be possible.
  • Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled.
  • Approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method.

Please note that this cancellation policy applies before dispatch. Once an order has moved beyond the cancellation window, the order will continue through the normal fulfilment process unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

Cancellation window

You may request to cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it. This short window allows us to check whether the order is still at an early stage and has not yet been passed to fulfilment for processing, inspection, or preparation.

After 24 hours, the order may already be in progress. At that point, the cancellation policy may no longer allow changes. To reduce the chance of issues, please review your order carefully before checkout, including:

  • item selection
  • size
  • colour
  • quantity
  • shipping address

If you notice an error shortly after placing the order, contact us as quickly as possible so we can check whether a cancellation is still available under this cancellation policy.

How to request a cancellation

Contact us as soon as possible at support@chaosbornwear.com and include:

  • Order number
  • Email address used at checkout
  • The item(s) you want to cancel

We will confirm by email whether your cancellation request has been successful. If the order is still within the cancellation window and has not entered processing, we will review the request as quickly as possible. If the order has already progressed, the cancellation policy may no longer permit a cancellation.

To help us resolve your request efficiently, please make sure your message includes accurate order details and a clear explanation of what you want cancelled. This helps us identify the order and assess whether it can still be stopped before fulfilment.

Orders already shipped

If your order has already been dispatched, we cannot cancel it. In that case, please wait for delivery and then review our Returns & Refunds Policy to see whether your item is eligible for return. This cancellation policy only covers orders before dispatch and does not apply once a parcel is in transit.

If your parcel is on the way and you no longer want the item, cancellation is not normally possible at that stage. Any next steps will depend on the returns terms that apply after delivery.

What happens after the cut-off

Cancellation requests received after 24 hours, or after an order has entered processing, may not be possible. This is because the order may already be in preparation for fulfilment and no longer available to stop safely without disrupting dispatch.

If a cancellation cannot be completed, your order will continue through the standard delivery process. Once the parcel has been delivered, any eligible concerns can be reviewed under our separate returns policy. Keeping the cancellation policy clear helps customers understand the difference between pre-dispatch cancellations and post-delivery returns.

Where relevant, we may also be unable to make changes such as correcting sizes, colours, or delivery details once processing has started. For this reason, we recommend checking every order carefully before completing payment.

Refunds for approved cancellations

When a cancellation is approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Please note that banks, card providers, and payment processors may take 5–10 business days to show the funds in your account.

The time it takes for the refund to appear depends on your payment provider. If you do not see the funds after 15 business days, please check with your bank or card issuer first. If you still need help after that, contact us and we will review the cancellation record for you.

This cancellation policy does not change how your payment provider processes refunds, and refund timing may vary depending on the method used at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel my order after 24 hours?

After 24 hours, cancellation may not be possible if the order has already entered processing. Please contact us as soon as you can so we can check the status against our cancellation policy.

What if I entered the wrong address?

If you notice an address error, contact us immediately. We will review whether the order is still within the cancellation window or whether any change may be possible before dispatch. If processing has already started, the cancellation policy may not allow amendments.

How long do refunds take?

Approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers usually take 5–10 business days to show the refund, and timing can vary by provider.

Does the cancellation policy apply to every order?

The cancellation policy applies to orders before they are shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled and must be handled under the relevant returns terms where eligible.
